Quiet breathing turns into
Puppy yips and deep bubbly snores
Sleepy stretches become moving legs
Silent eyes moving rapidly behind closed lids
Tail wagging in your sleep
Are you running in the fields with your friends?
Chasing squirrels from the lawn?
Playing soccer in the yard with me?
I can tell you are happy with your smiling face
Your tale and your twitching feet
Keep on keeping on
