Time and Pace

One day rolling into the next without notice
Late nights and early mornings making it hard to remember

Is it Monday or Sunday? Wednesday or Thursday?

In rooms without windows, it is a challenge
keeping track of sunrise and sunset

My phone tells me it is the next day
Yet I am still up from yesterday

What does it mean to travel through time
Ticking off days, weeks, months, years

Are we all just stories in the end?
